Nepal, a country of diversity is occupying many important places in prospect to history, natural beauty and cultural diversity.

Ugrachandi V.D.C is also one of the nature gifted place which is located at a distance of 1.5 Km North of Banepa. (Banepa, a historical city famous for trade relationship between Nepal and Tibet is 26 Km East from Kathmandu Valley). It is located at the lap of famous tourism place, Nagarkot. We can reach Ugrachandi V.D.C only after crossing the Kashi Bhanjayang Picnic Spot located at Tan Forestry. This V.D.C is surrounded by evergreen forest and is equipped with natural beauty and resources.

Despite of these resources and beauty, this place is deprived of development in sense of physical infrastructure, education and economic status. All these are due to mismanagement of natural resources, illiteracy, traditional beliefs and culture. Also, partiality for women and different types of social crimes like alcoholism, gambling are responsible for the plight condition of the V.D.C.

So, to improve the condition of the people and village, dominant as well as deprived women with the help of local social workers formed a non-government social organization named “Mahila Jagaran Samuha”.

Establishment

“Mahila Jagaran Samuha” is located at the Ugrachandi V.D.C-5, Shahid Bhimsen Chowk, Kavrepalanchwok. It is established in 28th of Shrawan, 2053 by nine (9) committee member and registered in District Administrator Office, Dhudhikhel in 18th Kartik, 2053 according to the organization act 2034 under section 4. It registered number is 294 and it’s social welfare council number is 5914.
